JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a skilled Mobile Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining and repairing a variety of equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. This general service will be completed on the customer’s property. Proactively reaching out and setting up a routine maintenance schedule with the desired customers. Other duties may include working in the shop.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct inspections and tests to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work. - Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment usage and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with other technicians and team members to improve service efficiency.
- Manage inventory of parts and tools required for repairs and maintenance.
- Be on call nights and weekends on rotation with other shop technicians.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license. CDL is not required but it is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of related experience OR an associate degree in a related program.
- Proven experience in equipment maintenance and repair.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to stay updated on new technologies and repair methods.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- The following skills are not required but are a plus:
– Welding
– Torching
– Plasma cutting
– Hydraulic experience
– Troubleshooting
– Operating forklifts, tractors, payloader and a service truck
