Job Description
The Parts Sales Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to clients purchasing cattle feeder equipment parts. This role involves selling parts over the phone, over the counter, and at trade shows. It also includes assisting customers in person, processing orders, and ensuring accurate and timely delivery of parts. The ideal candidate will build and maintain relationships with customers, ensure accurate order processing, and support the parts department in achieving its goals.
Responsibilities & Duties
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Customer Service:

- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner in person and over the phone.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate parts and solutions.
- Provide detailed product information and answer customer inquiries.
Sales:
- Accurately and efficiently process over-the-counter and phone sales transactions.
- Place orders by consulting price lists and product literature.
- Ensure quotes and orders are precise and adhere to the company’s sales process.
- Address client concerns promptly and report issues and solutions to management.
- Assist customers with specific product orders by collaborating with other team members.
- Express gratitude to clients and foster ongoing relationships by serving as their main point of contact.
- Meet individual sales targets and objectives.
- Represent the company at events, trade association meetings, and trade shows.
Existing Customers:
- Manage existing accounts and secure orders by planning and organizing a daily work schedule.
- Strengthen and develop relationships with current customers.
- Identify opportunities to help existing customers expand their business.
New Customers: - Manage new accounts by planning and organizing a daily work schedule to reach potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
- Generate new leads and follow up on them.
Order Management:
- Ensure inventory levels are maintained by placing orders and restocking shelves as necessary.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to guarantee timely delivery of parts.
- Handle returns and exchanges in line with company policies.
- Provide support in shipping and receiving parts as required.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of cattle feeder equipment and parts (preferred but not required).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-stop environment while providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to adapt to frequent changes of priority and complete job tasks safely and effectively without supervision.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with QuickBooks (willing to train).
- Knowledge of operating a forklift, pallet jack, and other equipment as necessary.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry parts and equipment of 50 lbs or more.
