DESCRIPTION
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Shop Floor Assistant for Post Manufacturing located in Rock Valley, IA. Post Manufacturing specializes in designing and manufacturing custom agricultural and industrial parts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Shop Floor Assistant assists other employees in multiple departments depending on needs. This is the perfect position for someone who likes work variety and learning new tasks, including:
- Assembly
- Sawing
- Welding
- Finishing
- Bending
- Maintenance
Material Handling:
- Inventory upkeep
- Job order picking
- Prep for shipping
- Loading and unloading trucks
SKILLS
The following skills are preferred, however we are WILLING TO TRAIN!
- Fork lift operations
- Basic computer skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms; stand, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted. Specific vision ability required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
